Design Process

1) Analysis of the existing interface

• Identify user weaknesses and frustrations.
• Gather feedback from current users.

The main problems we identified were :

• The interface was overloaded with information.
• The page structure was poorly laid out.
• The use of colours was inconsistent (red buttons to validate an action !?, informative text in red !?,..).

All this led to confusion for the users.

2) Wireframing and prototyping

• Creation of wireframes to propose new page structures.
• Development of interactive prototypes to validate new interactions.

3) UI design

• Selection of a modern colour palette consistent with Reprobel's image.
• Design of more intuitive icons and buttons.

The technical stack used Bootstrap 4 for the visual styles. The client didn't want to change, so we updated the code to version 5 and took into account the specific features of this framework for the redesign on Figma.

4) Development and integration

• Working with The Fabrik to integrate the new interfaces. Elicla did the visual part (Bootstrap, css, js) while The Fabrik managed the "architecture" and "logic" parts in PHP Twig.
• User testing to validate the improvements made.

Conclusion

The project lasted around 4 months, during which we analysed the old portal, identified weaknesses, proposed improvements and implemented the new interface. Throughout the project, communication with the customer and partners was ideal. The result is a more accessible and efficient portal for end users. Big thank to Reprobel for their trust.
